| 8 Dec 2007 | PhoenixSphinx | Loading...Very cool! Love the collar! You could dress up like that next halloween! That would be life imitating art for sure. How poetic. I couldn’t help but think that other than Jadis for inspiration, maybe the Olsen twins were inspiration somewhere, because I keep thinking of them, maybe in the eyes. Anyway, very good job! -phxspx Charlotte Fire-Valkyrie Ahlgren replies: "lol I can assure you the olsen twins were no inspiration and until you mentioned it I never saw the resemblance myself. Now that you’ve pointed it out though, I see what you mean... Something about the shape of the face and the eyes maybe..." | |

Anyway, you did a great job on you avatar! Charlotte Fire-Valkyrie Ahlgren replies: "Not sure I could catch her animation and make an image out of it - particularly not within the size limits... but I guess you could join Cybertown and download a 3D viewer and I could show her in action "

Love the mood in this pic by the way! Lovely colour again.....^-^ Charlotte Fire-Valkyrie Ahlgren replies: "Whether it’s harder or not probably depends on who does it and what you do... Personally I handcode VRML and in the case of this picture I created "the mood" in Photoshop. VRML tends to be a little angular and the shadowing isn’t entirely realistic (it shadows the "dark side" of objects but not something that is in something else’s shadow...)
You can use programs such as Flux Studio or Blender (both free) to make 3D items, and I’m thinking of testing one that I think was called Shapeshop where you actually draw the shapes and the program makes them 3D. It doesn’t output VRML though, but I think it outputs the file format you can use in e.g Poser and Daz Studio. It could prove a nice intermediate between drawing and building "
